Patients whose teeth are stained, unevenly spaced, or chipped may look in the mirror and wish their smile looked better. Fortunately, our dentists can correct these problems with porcelain veneers. A porcelain veneer is a thin layer of porcelain permanently bonded to the surface of a tooth to change its size, shape, and color. This can dramatically alter your smile.

Our practice uses a variety of porcelain veneers to create the smile you desire. All of our veneers mimic the appearance of your natural teeth, so they blend seamlessly. Best of all, they are durable and long lasting when cared for properly. Veneers are often responsible for the “Hollywood” smiles you see. In other words, veneers can be used to help you create a beautiful, healthy smile that gives you perfectly bright, white teeth.

Veneers Cost

Dental veneers are designed to improve the appearance of many different dental issues and can be used on one or many teeth. During your initial consultation you and your dentist will determine what is necessary to get the smile you desire. If veneers are appropriate for your teeth, a treatment plan will be discussed that lets you know the cost of the enhancement. As every case is different, there is no set cost for porcelain veneers and the amount of veneers that is required is determined on an individual basis.

Porcelain Veneers Procedure

If it is determined that veneers will help you get the smile of your dreams, your consultation will allow you to participate in the smile design process. Here you will work with your Madison veneers dentist to share your thoughts on the shape, length, width, and color of the veneers and will be able to determine how they will look so that they meet your smile goals. Once this process is completed the veneers procedure is usually completed in two office visits.

In the first visit the teeth in which the veneers will be placed are prepared. Tooth preparation involves removing only as much enamel as necessary to place the veneer. Generally this amount is equal to the width of the veneer that will be placed on your tooth. Once your tooth is prepared it will be ready to receive the permanent veneer. Your dentist will place the porcelain veneer for fit and appearance before bonding it to your tooth to make sure you agree with its feel and look. Then the dentist will bond the veneers to your teeth with a special curing light and you will have your new smile to show off to the world!
